The earliest discoveries of yoga date back to the Indus Valley civilization of 2000 to 4000 B.C.E. And is designed to help one feel whole by bringing balance to the mind and body. As interest in yoga continues to grow a variety of styles have become popular, attracting people of all backgrounds, ages and body types.

Yoga teachers acknowledge the writings of the sage Patanjali as first recorded around 2000 B.C. ,about the practice of yoga in an easily understandable written form. And although his teachings (The Yoga Sutras) have sprung a variety of yoga styles they are all from the one root of yoga. Learn more about yoga philosophy at a Yoga Sutra Study Class at Kanjin Yoga

We know that a regular yoga practice extends beyond the mat into our everyday lives by helping us manage everyday stress through the use of proven breathing techniques. Yoga also helps us live more fully in the present rather than concentrating on things we can't control. Better sleep is another benefit of a regular yoga practice.

During the season of serenity find time to renew your mind, body and spirit through yoga.

Namaste,
Dee Williams
